Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this site usable for every visitor — and how to tell us when we miss the mark.

Last reviewed: 2026

Our standard

We design and build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Roxanne Mirdamadi is committed to making mirdamadihomes.com accessible to people with disabilities. This statement explains how we work toward that goal, where we currently fall short, and how to report a barrier you encounter.

What we do

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In practice, that means:

  • Semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Descriptive alt text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked as hidden.
  • Sufficient color contrast — at least 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text, against every surface in our palette.
  • Keyboard-only navigation works across all primary flows: nav, forms, search, valuation, scheduling.
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
  • Form labels associated with their inputs; required fields marked clearly.
  • Motion can be paused via your operating system's "reduce motion" preference — we respect prefers-reduced-motion.
  • A skip-to-content link for keyboard users.

Where we have less control

Three third-party widgets render inside the site and we cannot directly fix their accessibility:

  • RealScout (MLS search on /search and home valuation on /valuation). Their accessibility statement governs the embedded experience.
  • Google Calendar appointment scheduling (on /contact). Subject to Google's accessibility policies.
  • Instagram (linked from footer). External, governed by Meta.

If you encounter a barrier in any of these tools that prevents you from reaching Roxanne, please email us — we'll respond directly and find an alternate way for you to get in touch (phone, in-person, anything that works).

Known limitations

This site is a work in progress. Items we know about and are actively addressing:

  • Some decorative SVG arches use color contrast that meets the threshold for decorative elements but not for content. They carry no information and are marked aria-hidden.
  • Placeholder town photography may be replaced with real photography over time. Alt text is currently descriptive of the brand placeholder; will be updated when photos are licensed.

Report a barrier

If you cannot access content or use a feature, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as priority feedback.

Email: rox@mirdamadihomes.com
Subject line: "Accessibility feedback"
Please include: the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what happened (or didn't).
Response time: within two business days. We'll either fix the issue, or give you a direct alternative way to do what you needed.

Formal complaints

If you'd like to file a formal complaint, the U.S. Department of Justice's ADA complaint process is available. We'd much rather hear from you directly first — most issues are faster to resolve that way.
